Boxing Day on twitter
This week I've had a great time creating spool pin doilies for my vintage sewing machines.
I belong to the vintage sewing machine group on facebook and shared a few free patterns. These are my first try at writing a pattern so please be kind with any feedback (which I welcome)!
Please feel free to use, share and enjoy them, but they remain my own patterns. If you share them anywhere, please give me credit by linking back.

4 quilts and a funeral
What a sad and productive week. My good friend and neighbor lost her father on Friday to his long battle with cancer. I hate to see her sad, she's such a kind and thoughtful lady.
#1303 for Hart L.
#1304 for Cruz L.
These boys are the brothers of Ce'de. They will be receiving theor love quilts within the next few weeks.
#1305 EMS animal babies
#1306 Light houses
Dogs are pieced and ready to be quilted next week. I love how it looks now, and think I may quilt it in an all over stars pattern. This is a tall one!
I also worked on labels. I'm not sure why, but no one at Love Quilts had labeled any quilts while I've been involved. That always made me feel guilty so I decided to start. So far it's been a success!
I think the next labels will include dates or space to hand write information.
Until next week, sew on...

It's been fun, but work calls...
Thurdays make me sad, I work weekends and won't be sewing again until Monday morning. My days are long, 12 hour shifts and almost an hour's drive just to get there. I spend them dreaming of sewing and quilting...
The day began with Hubs helping me load the batting for the longarm.
It starts out like this, big and heavy. We unroll it, unfold it, and roll it back into a 10 foot roll. Whew, what a chore!
I spent the rest of the afternoon assembling another love quilt.
There is no child in mind for this, but I'm hoping a young man (12-18) will enjoy this someday.
The next set on my table will be for the same age range, older boys are so hard to create love quilts for, so we try to focus on them when possible.
How cute are these squares?
I think Sissy approves!

Hello Quilty World!
So, here goes. I've been meaning to do this for quite some time, and this was one of my New Year's resolutions. Hmmph January 23 but yet I did it :D
I work a full time job for pay but my love is sewing. Quilting mainly. I do alot of quilts for LoveQuilts.org, and my first finishes of the year are for them.
#1301 arctic animals for Ce'de. The squares are stitched by people all over the world. I'm always amazed at the time and beauty that go in to each square.
#1302 pink hearts. This one may have a home, just waiting to hear back from the family.
I have 3 other quilts in the works, and hope to have them done next week. Then I can work on the other 3 kits I received this week.
The hubs calls my sewing room "The Sweat Shop". I spend tons of time in there...
I hope to be on to personal projects by Valentine's Day. Wish me luck!
